what discounts do you offer?

as of 1st APRIL ’22 we offer the following discounts at SLINGERS – ‘student’ / ‘blue light card’ / ‘friends of SMOKEWORKS’ / ‘friends of CDC’ & ‘CDC mr & mrs’. for more details about our student and blue light discount – please click here

do we take bookings/larger parties?

at SLINGERS STATION ROAD (that’s right, the one down from the train station!) – we are able to take bookings, obviously for darts but also for lunch, dinner and even just drinks. our BUFFALO LOUNGE is also suitable for up to 3O guests, and the TAP bar can also be booked for events like networking or even just some birthday drinks and nibbles. please email the team [email protected] for more info

can you just grab a drink?

yes! you can enjoy a beer, cocktail or bourbon in our bar, aka our TAP bar, which is located to one side of SLINGERS [STATION ROAD]

are we child-friendly?

yes! while our dining spaces remain family-friendly any time of day, on the SLING FLOOR you’ll need to be 12+ to play before 6pm, after then the SLING FLOOR becomes an adults-only environment as things can get spirited

are we dog-friendly?

while we’re unable to accept dogs (excluding service dogs) in our main dining areas, you are more than welcome to bring them with you when you visit our TAP bar

is there disabled access?

while we have limited disabled access at our restaurant, we will always do our best to accommodate any guest who requires support to access the building. if you have any questions about access, or want to make a specific booking request with us, then please just drop us an email [email protected]

is it just meat? do you cater for vegetarians and vegans?

obviously we love our meat at SLINGERS but we do our best to offer vegetarian and vegan options whenever possible

is any of our food halal or kosher?

sorry but our restaurant is not certified to prepare meals that meet the requirements for either halal or kosher dietary standards

and what about allergens and intolerances?

at SLINGERS we take allergens and intolerances very seriously and always endeavour to cater for anyone who suffers from them, but if you need more information before your visit then please just drop us an email to [email protected], or when you visit our venue just make sure you speak to the manager on duty if you need any further questions answered!

please remember that although prepared on site, we cannot guarantee food does not contain gm, nut or gluten traces. our menu description may not contain all ingredients, so before ordering please talk to the manager on duty if you have any specific questions in relation to your allergy or dietary requirements

no added gluten or dairy? while our kitchen isn’t specifically gluten-free, and it’s fair to say we do serve up a lot of buns and breaded chicken wings, we always make sure we take precautions to minimise any contamination when serving ‘no added gluten’ or ‘no added diary’ menu items. our ‘no added gluten’ or ‘no added dairy’ menu will help you avoid ordering any food that contains, or has gluten or dairy added to it, however, we are unable to guarantee your food does not contain traces and as such this is why we do not state the menu is gluten or dairy-free

can I park at slingers?

afraid not. but there are car parks close by STATION ROAD – the nearest car park is at the cambridge train station itself. there are also various pay and display streets surrounding station road

what payment methods do we take?

we accept all major credit cards including AMEX. as well as the following digital methods: APPLE PAY. ANDROID PAY. WECHAT PAY and ALIPAY. obviously if cash is your only option, then we’re not going to say no, although swapsies and bartering are still a no for now!

service charge

at SLINGERS a discretionary 1O% service charge is added to our bills. 1OO% of the service charge (tronc) is received by our brilliant crew both front of house and in the kitchen. here’s how it works: the process of allocating tronc is independent of SLINGERS and is governed by an elected tronc master from within the crew. anyone from front and back-of-house can be tronc master. SLINGERS doesn’t charge administration fees to facilitate any tronc payments to our crew, and tronc is paid in addition to any crew members’ wages
